Our History
In 1983, founder and at the time owner operator Chris Spooner started Spooners Building Products ("SBP"). As a small window supplier located in the Mission Gorge area of San Diego, SBP served the local commercial construction market. In 1985, Chris Spooner partnered with Bob Russell a licensed General Contractor to add product installation to SBP's service package. SBP has since expanded its product line to include architectural doors, frames, and hardware. In the early 90's SBP incorporated and moved to a 5,000 sf facility in the poway business park allowing for continued expansion and development of the company and its services. Since its inception, SBP has worked diligently to build a reputation as an excellent and dependable supplier, installer, contractor and consultant in the architectural openings industry.
